For earlier 79 Series models running manual locking hubs, this TT Extreme Big Brake Kit is the direct solution to the factory braking system’s limitations. Designed as a complete upgrade, it significantly improves stopping power, pedal feel, and braking consistency under load.

At the core of the kit are large 6-piston forged aluminium calipers, replacing the factory 4-piston setup and delivering more even clamping force across a larger rotor surface. Paired with oversized slotted rotors, the system increases braking surface area and improves heat dissipation, reducing fade during repeated or heavy braking.

Rotor diameter increases from approximately 322mm to 335mm, further improving leverage and braking efficiency, particularly when towing or descending steep terrain.

The kit also includes stainless steel braided brake lines to improve pedal feel and maintain pressure under load, along with Kevlar ceramic brake pads designed for consistent performance and reduced dust.

As a complete engineered system, every component is designed to work together, ensuring reliability and performance in real-world 4WD conditions. ADR approval and testing confirm its suitability for on-road use when installed correctly.
