Terrain Tamer Modified Handbrake Shoe Strut
If your Land Cruiser's handbrake requires excessive lever travel before engaging, this Terrain Tamer modified handbrake shoe strut is a simple upgrade designed to improve handbrake feel and performance.
Unlike the factory strut, the modified design features a reduced groove depth, allowing the handbrake shoes to sit slightly further apart. This reduces the amount of cable movement required to apply the handbrake, resulting in a firmer feel and more positive engagement.
Ideal when rebuilding or servicing the rear handbrake assembly on vehicles fitted with rear disc brakes and drum-in-disc handbrake systems.

Land Cruiser Hub Note
When replacing worn handbrake shoes, springs or hardware, this modified strut is one of the most effective upgrades available for improving handbrake performance on ageing Land Cruiser models. It is particularly popular on 80 Series, 100 Series and 105 Series vehicles where excessive handbrake travel has become common over time.
