Terrain Tamer Handbrake Spring Kit

Over time, handbrake springs and retaining hardware can weaken, corrode or lose tension, resulting in poor handbrake performance, uneven shoe wear and noisy operation.

The Terrain Tamer HBK2 Handbrake Spring Kit contains the hardware required to properly secure the handbrake shoes to the backing plate during a handbrake rebuild or service. It is an ideal addition when replacing handbrake shoes, backing plate pins or upgrading to Terrain Tamer's modified handbrake strut.

Designed for Land Cruiser models fitted with rear disc brakes and drum-in-disc handbrake assemblies.

Land Cruiser Hub Note

If you're replacing handbrake shoes on your 80 Series, 100 Series or 105 Series, we strongly recommend replacing the spring hardware at the same time. Old springs often lose tension over time, reducing handbrake effectiveness and accelerating wear on the shoe assembly.
